bizarre bazaar
for the month of july, the mahan gallery will transform from a traditional art venue into an art retail experience. “bizarre bazaar” aims to provoke thought about our current consumerist culture by offering one-of-a-kind, hand-crafted goods in contrast to machine-made merchandise pitched to the masses in common retail outlets.
gallery guests may purchase wearable art (distinctive pieces of jewelry, t-shirts, apparel), home and fashion accessories, and small works, all created by artisans located both nationally and internationally. more than thirty artists contributing their unique works will include the following: nylon magazine recognized jewelry designer VERAMEAT, Geminitactics, Species by the Thousands, ShowPony’s Kime Buzzelli, Glitterlimes, Free Lauren Marsella, and many more.
our “art and lifestyle boutique” will showcase an array of pieces certain to appeal to the most discriminating tastes as well as a range of budgets.
