Brett Carron grew up in the Midwest, and attended CCAD on scholarship. He completed hisbachelor’s degree in fine art in the fall of 2002. He currently lives and works in Columbus.
Brett’s work is informed by an expanding field of devices ranging from the literary to the historical.He employs various techniques to interpret these modes of information including model making, found objects, woodworking, digital imaging, video, and furniture making. Brett’s workcharacterized notions of craft vs high art, the affect of media and the moving image, and the condition of existing in an environment where architects design the landscape and televisioncreates the culture.
