crispinís interactive sculptures are in a continual state of rebirth. the work is not completed once by the artist, but many times by the viewer interacting with the object. a small performance begins when the viewer presses one of the fabricated or appropriated switches. this switch completes a circuit that allows electricity to reach a simple device that produces sound, movement or light. these electronics are acquired through three sources; other artists, thrift stores, and more often, dumpsters. these sculptures require almost no money, allowing them to be created in the most limited conditions.

the box structure is made of scavenged wood and covered with wax. the wax is brushed onto the structure while hot, creating a texture as it cools. rubber stamps are pressed into the wax leaving an imprint of the artists name, date, and other descriptive phrases. the candle wax is mixed with honey, and spices to give a subtle smell and to increase its flexibility.

crispin has been active in fluxux for two years, and studying it for about three and a half. performances, collaborative projects, sculpture, video, mail art and photography represent the breath of his work that he has made in association with fluxus.
