hristina panovska
hristina panovska immigrated to columbus, ohio in september of 1989 from bitola, macedonia. she lived in new york city from 1999 until may of 2003 when she moved back to columbus. hristina graduated with a bachelors of arts in architecture and minors in film and photography from columbia university where she studied under photographer thomas roma and filmmaker david sterritt. her work in photography ranges from nan goldin influenced portraitures to roma inspired urban decay. her filmic work includes an avant-garde based film titled samís story and a recent documentary project called blood honey: a collection of personal history that she intends on finishing after filming in macedonia this june. she currently works for acock associates architects and is planning to attend graduate school in the fall of 2005. hristina is on the committees for teamtim.org and ladyfest ohio working to promote the arts in columbus.
