kristin patton

kristin is fascinated by the idea of how time can change space and how space can change time. when something changes it goes through informative stages which are continual. she traveled with her grandparents to lithuania to connect with her heritage and to see the difference between the stories and her perceptions. whether it is a story that has changed or an image that has altered, she tries to capture each of their stages. kristin uses a variety of mediums to execute these phases such as solvents and varnishes which too change over time.

kristin patton graduated from montserrat college of art with a degree in fine arts in 2003. she currently lives in columbus, ohio and is an active member of the art community. her paintings and collages have been shown in boston, massachusetts, beverly, massachusetts, and columbus, ohio. her painting process involves creating surfaces and textures reminiscent of memory and space. she is currently managing a gallery and continuing her work in columbus, ohio.
